Hello Fishermen, The Chetco River Has a good number of fish in it, at this time. We had a great day today. The hatchery fish are in first, as norm. , with some Hogs to boot. The Lower river can send you home with what you came for. My last 3 days on the Smith did produce some nice fish, also but remember, the Chetco has more color at this time. Does that matter , yes with boat after boat running over the fish. We will get some big time rain tomorrow and that will set the slots up with a good number of Steehead

Hello Fishermen , I fished the Smith River just before the last big storms with Larry and Mark of San Jose. Mark hooked and landed a 9 pounder, while Larry landed a 10-?? pounder. We saw a few other fish caught that same day as we are now seeing more Steelhead entering the system . Several Adult hook-ups per rod will soon be the norm. Hello Fishermen, Saturday I fished the Chetco River with Tony and Gail. The water conditions were low and clear.The day started out with four half pounders hooked. It all changed when Tony hooked a large Steelhead, estimated after seeing it, to be at least 17 lbs. We hooked the fish in very shallow water,and as goes, the fish rolled several times and came unbutton.
