All of the north coast rivers blew out this past weekend, but are on the drop and should be in shape by the middle of this week. The Kilchis is usually one of the first rivers to come back in shape, and this high water event should have brought in fall Chinook and chum. Bobber fishing bait, back-bouncing, back-trolling plugs or divers and bait, or casting spinners can all be effective methods for Chinook, in addition Chum will hit jigs and flies if prestented well. Anglers are reminded that the Chum fishery is catch-and-release only.
