Public meetings to discuss 2019 Big Game Hunting Regulations are being held around southern Oregon.

Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife biologists will discuss proposed changes for the 2019 hunting season and proposals to simplify regulations, including one to change the Southwest first-come, first served spring bear hunt to a controlled hunt consistent with all other spring bear hunts in Oregon.

Public comment will be taken at the meetings and biologists are available to answer questions. Final 2019 Big Game Hunting Regulations will be adopted at the September 14 Fish and Wildlife Commission meeting in Bandon.

Residents in southern Oregon can attend any of these meetings:
Medford: July 12, 6:30 – 7:30 pm, Eagles Lodge, 2000 Table Rock Rd.
Roseburg: July 16, 6-8 pm, ODFW office, 4192 N Umpqua Hwy.
Brookings: July 19, 7:30 – 8:30 pm, Wild Rivers Pizza, 16279 U.S. 101 South.
