Water conditions:

Day time temps have been cool (60's) the last few days. The water stays at a constant level for the most part in the Gorge, and water temps are perfect! (49- 56 degrees)

Fishing Conditions and Hatches:

Not many people fishing down in these parts. Take advantage of this intimate wild Brown Trout fishery before it gets in the triple digits. Keep an eye out for Rattle Snakes and carry a snake bite kit.
These fish are not picky! Nor are they large. Get a good drift and enjoy a bit of solitude

Recommended Flies:

P. Adams #12-16, Royal Wulff # 14-18, Stimulator's #12-16, Elk Hair Caddis #12-18, Humpy's #12-16, Pheasant tails #12-16, Copper Johns #12-16, Prince nymphs #12-16.

Guides Hint: Do not get caught up in having a thousand different bugs. Bring your five favorite patterns, use some stealth and get a good drift. That's the beauty of the Gorge, Simplicity!
