FOR STEELHEAD:
The Skykomish is running especially high, but should start settling down over the next couple weeks, especially if a cooler spell sets in.?? The Snoqualmie is right at historical levels for this time of year, and while that spells some color, it's definitely worth starting to fish.?? Look for summer runs above Fall City in particular, right up to the water below the Falls.?? The silver lining to these early high flows is that conditions should not become too low or too warm anytime soon.?? Think in terms of presenting small winter patterns (marabou's, rabbit-leechy stuff) while flows remain high with some color, and don't overlook fishing big rubber leg stonefly nymphs this time of year if so inclined!

FOR TROUT:
The Middle Fork Snoqualmie is the main culprit for the Main-stem Snoqualmie's high flows, however the North Fork and South Fork look ready to be fished (although wading need be undertaken with caution!).?? The Upper Sky tributaries will need a couple weeks to settle down.

Salmonfly adults have moved upstream of Maupin, while Goldens are appearing in solid numbers.?? Big Golden adults should provide heady, reliable action over the next week or two.?? Caddis and PED's are well-established events that could divert the trout's focus away from the big bugs when available, with a few PMD's and the promise of Green Drakes also upon us.?? Have fun!
