The Applegate River is open to trout and steelhead fishing through March 31 (Friday of this week). Only adipose fin-clipped rainbow trout or steelhead may be harvested. All wild cutthroat and rainbow trout, and steelhead must be released unharmed.

River is back in shape with some color. That should make fishing conditions very good.

New Rogue South Coast Steelhead Validation is required to fish for steelhead. Harvest of wild steelhead is not allowed in the Applegate River.

You can check the USGS stream gauge flows on the Applegate to get the most up to date flow and temperature information.
