The Blitzen is flowing around 130 cfs near Page Springs with maximum water temperatures in the mid-60s during middle of the day. These conditions are ideal for redband trout fishing.  e have not received any fishing reports from the Bitzen lately so as far as we know not many people have been out there fishing.

If you’re looking for some solitude and wild redband trout head on out and give the Blitzen a try. There will likely be fewer mosquitos in the wilderness sections of the Blitzen than there are on the Malheur Wildlife Refuge
