Hello Fishermen, Saturday I fished the Smith River with Jay and his son Keith. The water conditions were great on this day for side drifting for Steelhead. We also did some back bouncing for Salmon. We hooked and landed three fish. Keith caught a chrome bright 11 lb Steelhead and Jay boated a Salmon, plus a small steelie. There still seems to be a few Salmon left in the system, which is normal for this time of year; December typically marks the end of the Salmon run. As soon as we receive a sufficient amount of rain, along with it will come the Steelhead. Book your trip now to reserve the dates you want. Randy

Hello Fishermen, Don't be discouraged just because the Salmon aren't here in good numbers yet. The Smith River is a great fishery, but remember it takes rain and cooler water temperatures to bring in larger runs. We are expected to get some rain this week and that will greatly help add to the numbers that we are seeing now. Hang in their it won't be long. Randy...... Read More
