It's Winter time on the Metolius, so expect some additional angling pressure for the hollidays. If you are willing to do a little extra hiking you should have better fishing and plenty of elbow room. Bull trout fishing is pretty good, especially if you find areas that see fewer anglers(see above). As for the Rainbows, the BWO and midge hatches are bringing the fish to the surface, but being in the right place at the right time isn't always easy. Use common sense if driving downstream from the hatchery as the road conditions can deteriorate rapidly after fresh snowfall.
