Fishing for trout has been good at Howard Prairie. Legal-sized trout have been stocked to complement trout stocked last year and a good number of 15-20 inch holdovers. Two anglers trolled with the wind between the dam and the resort on Sunday and caught five fish from 11-16 inches between 11:00 am and 3:30 pm. Another trout broke off four pound test leader. All the boat ramps are open. The marina at the Howard Prairie Resort is open and boat rentals are available. The lake is now 65 percent full.
