Hyatt Lake has been stocked with legal-sized and trophy-sized rainbow trout, and fishing for these stocked trout has been good for this time of year. Trolling, casting lures and still fishing with bait should all produce trout. Anglers fishing from shore will want to concentrate on the deeper water near the dam if they are targeting trout. Reports from this past weekend indicated most fish caught were in the 12-13 inch range, with anglers reporting success on powerbait, as well as trolling wedding rings and flatfish. Fishing for largemouth bass has been good. The reservoir is 53 percent full.
