BASS

Anglers are catching many smaller bass in the shallows using crank baits, and jerk baits. Carolina rig, and dropshotting plastics are working best for bigger bass within 30-40 ft. With the water level rising, there are a lot of shrubs and weeds submerging making great habitat.

STRIPER

The striper bite picked up this week. Anglers are catching smaller striper trolling with flies or using lures that replicate bait fish.

CATFISH

The catfish bite has been on and off. Anglers are catching catifsh on nightcrawlers, chicken liver and Mackerel! The best spot to fish for catfish are near the dams and islands.

PANFISH

Anglers are still catching tons of panfish! Mealworms, and night crawlers are recommended for catching panfish. Anglers are catching them near the dams by the ladders.

TROUT

There were no reports of trout being caught this week. Miini jigs, powerbait, and nightcrawlers are recommended for trout fishing.
