Hello Fishermen, The derby was fun for all, but after some tuff times on the Smith, I felt it was time to hit the High Sierras for the elusive Brown Trout. This time of year it can produce some dandys. Val Early did catch a 46-inch 50 pound Salmon on the Chetco during the derby. I will miss the Chetco and Smith, but next year will come soon, and I will be there. Randy

Hello Steelheaders, I Fished the Smith and Chetco River on Wenesday and thursday. We have some snow melt and it is making the bite tuff. One good thing is there are not many boats on the water. Hello Fishermen, I fished the Elk River today with Jerry and George. Jerry caught a Steelhead of a life time ,It was a 20 pounder. George caught a 16 pounder.
