BASS

Anglers continue to catch many smaller bass in the shallows using crank baits, and jerk baits. Carolina rig, and dropshotting plastics are working best for bigger bass in deeper water. With the water level rising, there are a lot of shrubs and weeds submerging making great habitat.

STRIPER

Anglers are starting to catch decent size striper trolling with flies and using lures that replicate bait fish. Anchovies and sardines work great as well.

CATFISH

The catfish bite is still on! Nightcrawlers, shrimp and Mackerel work best for catfish! The best spot to fish for catfish are near the dams and islands.

PANFISH

Anglers are still catching their limits on panfish! Mealworms, and night crawlers are recommended for catching panfish. Anglers are catching them near the dams by the ladders.

TROUT

There were no reports of trout being caught this week. Miini jigs, powerbait, and nightcrawlers are recommended for trout fishing.
