Winter weather could put fishing plans on ice, or underwater
Severe winter weather could impact fishing opportunities statewide. Snowy, icy roads are limiting access to several popular ice fishing spots in eastern Oregon. Snow melt and heavy rains could cause flooding in many western Oregon rivers and streams, making them unfishable until at least the weekend. For those hardy anglers willing to brave the wintry conditions, be safe and prepared for changing conditions.

Spring bear hunt application deadline is Feb. 10
Just over half of the 1st come, 1st serve SW Oregon spring bear tags had sold out as of last week.

Report big game hunt results by Jan. 31, 2017
Remember to complete a report for each 2016 deer, elk, bear, cougar and pronghorn tag you purchased—even if you didn’t hunt or weren’t successful. Report online at reportmyhunt.com or call 1-866-947-633.
