The Siuslaw River and Lake Cr. are open for hatchery winter steelhead. Fishing is slow but improving. Recent reports have fish being caught below Whittaker Cr. on the Siuslaw and below Green Cr. on the Lake Cr. Casting spinners, drifting bait or using a bobber and jig can be effective.
