Steelhead fishing on the Wilson remains fair to good. There are broodstock hatchery fish, and wild fish throughout the system, and should be throughout the month. Float fishing jigs, beads, or bait, drift fishing, nymphing, and swinging flies or spinners are all good techniques.

Anglers are reminded that the Little North Fork of the Wilson, and the South Fork Wilson closed to steelhead fishing on April 1, to protect spawning wild steelhead and out migrating juveniles.
