ROCK FISH

Rock Fish trips have been very successful this week. We’ve seen a lot of limits being caught. We’ve brought a few Lingcod on board, which is typical for this time of year. The Cabezon are now closed for the season. We’ve seen fantastic numbers on the long leader rock fish trips where you can keep up to 10 rock fish.

SALMON

We’ve been catching a lot of salmon this week. The average for keepers is 1 to 2 per person. There haven’t been a lot of Chinook sightings. The salmon season will stay open through August 25th. The non-selective season will be open on August 31st, September 1st, 6th, 7th, 8th, 13th, 14th, and 15th. At that time you can keep any salmon of legal size. This season is open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in September until the quota is reached.

HALIBUT

Off Shore halibut is open every Friday and Saturday until the quota is reached. We are booking through Sept. 20th and 21st. We will open up later dates is quota remains. These trips are $220 per person and include crabbing.

Nearshore halibut is open every day until October. These trips are 10 hours and combined with rock fish. We don’t run them on off shore halibut days.

TUNA

We are still catching tuna in the 35 to 45 mile range. We’ve been averaging 1 to 4 fish per person on these 12 hour trips. We still have room the last week of August and the first week of September.
