left the harbor in the morning with great ocean conditions only to have a few hours later heavy rain with windy conditions that made fishing a little difficult. Then the rains went away and the ocean calmed and it was nice again. This afternoon another cloud burst hit the area. Sounds like showery periods are in our forecast for the better part of next week but only one day looks a little “nautical” while the others look like good ocean weather. Most boats limited on the rockfish catch or came darn close with some Lingcod caught in a heavy current but not a great deal. Ocean crabbing sounds like again it was in the 2-4 per person range.

You better had been in the right spots this morning because it was a “hit or miss” morning. Some boats did really well and others not so well. The ocean weather this morning was not really close to a forecast we heard as with -2.1 minus tide and wind it made for tough fishing. A day suppose to be windy even in the morning hours turned out to be a nice morning With some of that wind showing up in the afternoon hours.
