Nehalem River - Nehalm, OR

Fishing has been slow on the North Fork lately due to low and clear conditions, and overall a low number of hatchery fish. That said, there are still a few fish being caught daily, and this weekend’s freshet should have the river back in good condition early next week.

Fishing was slow to fair on the mainstem Nehalem last week. Color was decent, but it was still a little high. If the forecasts are correct it, may blow out again Saturday or Sunday, but hopefully the rains also bring new fish. There are no hatchery releases on the mainstem, so it is a mostly wild fish river (catch and release only). There are fish throughout the system.
