Howard Prairie Reservoir - Ashland, OR (Jackson County)

Ice is breaking up at Howard Prairie, and there should be open water accessible from the bank. The only usable and open ramp right now is the low water ramp near the dam. Water levels at Howard Prairie haven’t budged much as most inflow is being diverted to Emigrant Lake currently. The low water ramp does have some fresh rock placed by ODFW last fall, that extended it. Any fishing reports up here would be extremely welcome tby the District 541-826-8774.

There is a Hwy 66 and Hyatt Lake Rd webcam that may help if you’re planning an adventure up here to cross country ski or snowshoe. There is a Jackson County webcam at the Dead Indian Memorial Summit.

All campgrounds and facilities are currently closed until further notice. More information on facilities can be found on Jackson County Parks website.

The reservoir is still hovering at 8 percent full.
