The winter steelhead fishing season is still officially open, but 99 percent of the anglers have stopped steelhead fishing for the season.

Boat and bank anglers fishing from the jetties are still catching rockfish in the Coos Bay estuary. Jigs fished with a twister tail trailer is always a good option to catch bottomfish. 

Trout fishing in streams and rivers reopen May 22.
