For one of the few times this spring the ocean weather report actually turned out better than what the forecast was saying.  It appears the forecast is coming but we got off the water before it had a chance to get here.  It was a little wet and windy but the ocean water held up and was actually pretty nice out there this morning.

We did not catch a legal Lingcod this morning as we were light tackle fishing instead of our normal heavy tackle trips up north off the Lincoln City reefs.  With the forecast and heavy current we thought better of that type of trip and opted for the closer to home light tackle method.  We limited out the boat in less then 2-hours and then spent a few hours looking for some legal Lingcod but could not find any.  The good news is that we found a decent spot for the crabbing and gave the group onboard about 15 or so to eat for dinner tonight.
