After a slow start, anglers are reporting that fishing is improving at Crane Prairie. All boat ramps are now accessible and the reservoir water level is high at 82 percent full. Boat users should be aware of buoys marking ODFW brown bullhead removal nets along the southeastern and southwestern shorelines.

This is the time of year to watch for blue-green algae blooms on Crane Prairie. Here’s what to look for.
