All salmon fishing is closed in the Coquille Basin for the remainder of the year due to very poor returns of wild Chinook

The weather forecast is for significant rain mid to late in the week. This could bring in the first early winter steelhead for the season. Steelhead anglers will start fishing in the lower Coquille River with the next significant rain. Early in the season most anglers plunk with Spin-n-Glos around the town of Coquille.

Trout fishing in streams and rivers is closed until May 22.
