There have been very good reports of anglers catching a lot of hold over trout this past couple of weeks. The lake is getting closer to being full and filling up quickly. This is a good bet for people to hook some good-looking trout this week. Also, there were around twenty very large fish (longer than 24 inches) stocked into Galesville a few weeks ago and would certainly will put a smile on anyone’s face who lands one.

In Galesville Reservoir, all landlocked salmon are considered trout and are part of the five-per-day trout limit, with only one trout over 20 inches long allowed for harvest. If you catch any fish in Galesville with a hole punch in the operculum (plate over the gills), please e-mail [email protected].
