Today my buddy Bob and I went out to Detroit to scout for kokanee. We started on the south side of Piety Island and trolled along the south shore line to blowout. After circling the blowout area and driving into blowout itself, we headed back across to the north shore line towards Mongold. Between 0600 hrs and 1100 hrs we located so few fish. We did catch 4 nice trout but threw them back. We did catch one nice kokanee about 14 inches. That fish was at 55 feet with a 25 foot set back on Kokaneekid purple twisted hoochie. Still pretty tough out there, I hope it picks up soon. I am worried about not marking very many kokanee.
