Yaquina River Fishing Report

Yaquina River - Newport, OR

by OR Department of Fish & Wildlife Staff

Winter steelhead has closed on the Yaquina however it is also back open for trout fishing. This smaller system has a decent cutthroat population if you are in the newport area. There is a small run of spring chinook in the basin as well, however we havent seen too many coming into the system yet. In the next few weeks a push of fish should enter the system!

Trout fishing reopened on May 22
