The Kilchis is dropping into shape and should provide some good opportunity for catch-and-release fishing for wild steelhead through the weekend. There are no hatchery releases on the Kilchis. ‌

The Mapes Creek (logging bridge) boat ramp was damaged in the storm a few weeks ago and is still closed. Boaters should use extreme caution and check the ramp before launching there.
