Most of our boats limited on Prehistoric Rockfish which means they were really Big Ones.  Most of them were pushing 5 pounds which have more meat on them than smaller legal Lingcod.  The Lingcod bite was decent also with lots of Fling Lings and some nice keepers also. 

Crabbing was down a bit from the last week or so but everyone went home with at least 2 crab.

Our Halibut boat came home yesterday with almost 1 Fish per angler.  This is the time of year our Halibut catch starts falling as the Water is warming with the fish Migrating North.  Halibut will Migrate up to 2,000 miles.  We are calling Halibut for the year after today as we just can't take you out there without a good possibility of getting both your fish for the price we have to charge.  Offshore Fishing is more expensive because we burn more fuel and take the time to get out to where the Halibut live. 

The good news is when the Halibut gets tougher our Salmon start showing up and we are getting good reports of it really picking up finally!  We are booking Salmon Trips starting Tuesday to go hammer the Smilies and are looking forward to it!

Today the Kingfisher got all of their Giant Rockfish early with some Lings in the mix.

Ditto for the the Outer Limits and Mariner who were also crabbing with 41 and 28 respectively.

The Mr. Max got 3/4 of some Toad Rockfish.  They were all Bombers, some over the 5 pound threshold.  28 crab also.
