The long-awaited non-selective salmon opener kicked off with mixed results the last couple of days. Some boats saw a fish per person while others had a slower bite — a good reminder that salmon fishing can be very sporadic and changes day to day. That’s the nature of chasing salmon, and every trip brings a new opportunity.

Meanwhile, bottom fishing has continued to be nothing short of phenomenal. Our boats have been bringing in limits of quality rockfish, and the crab numbers remain spectacular — ranging from 8 to 12 crab per person. Guests have been heading home with heavy bags and big smiles.
