There may be a few summer steelhead still in the mainstem Rogue, but be on the lookout for fresh winter steelhead especially downstream of Grants Pass. River conditions should be slowly dropping through the weekend. Fishing deeper runs or pools with medium to small presentations can be productive. Anglers, please use proper catch-and-release techniques, such as keeping fish in the water as much as possible and releasing them quickly.
Current flow, temp and turbidity conditions for the Rogue can be found at the USGS stream gauges here, or checking the City of Grants Pass water page's river data here.
