After about a week of rough weather, we finally got a spectacular day on the water at Tradewinds Charters in Depoe Bay! Five boats headed out this morning loaded with eager fishermen, and the ocean conditions cooperated beautifully. The fishing was phenomenal across the board. Most boats limited out on Rockfiah, and the Lingcod bite was absolutely on fire. Some boats reached their Lingcod limits, while others came close, making for a fantastic catch for the entire fleet.

Be sure to check out the photos from today’s trips — they include a fun kids’ fishing contest aboard the Mr. Max. With lots of kiddos on board, everyone had a blast! The winner of the contest went home with a special fish trophy, but every kid left with at least a sticker.

We still have space available tomorrow for our 5-hour bottom fishing trips, with or without crabbing. Trips depart at 7:30 AM.
