Cole Rivers Hatchery returns as of 4/1/26: New winter steelhead 165, season total 435. New spring Chinook 1, season total 1. Anglers, please use proper catch-and-release techniques, such as keeping fish in the water as much as possible and releasing them quickly.
Catch rates have been fairly good upstream of Dodge Bridge. Changing tackle types and re-fish a run if one presentation isn't working. There are still a few winter steelhead being picked up, but a lot of anglers are starting to switch focust to spring Chinook angling. Fishing for trout has closed and will reopen on May 22.
For up-to-date river levels, check all the USGS Rogue gauges here.
