Trout season in the Siuslaw River opened May 22. Sea-run cutthroat should be making their way upstream. Be sure to check your regulations before you head out for bait or stream restrictions. Jetties can be a great place to target rockfish and surf perch during the spring. For more information on surf perch, crabbing, rockfish and lingcod, refer to the Marine Recreation Report.
