Be advised that McKay Reservoir is currently being used as a source of water for fire suppression. Refuge gates are currently locked and boating is prohibited. Bank angling is still allowed. Fishing for bass and panfish has been good on McKay Reservoir. The Oregon Health Authority has issued a precaution for harmful algae blooms. The reservoir is currently 38% full
