Please be aware Smith River below Sisters Creek and North Fork Smith below Bridge 10 are open for catch-and-release only for trout. Above these locations it is open for retention. Smith River will close to all angling above Spencer Creek under permanent regulations beginning September 16 through November 30.

Smallmouth bass and striped bass are being caught in the tidewater sections. Angling for bass has been good. There are no harvest limits on any bass in the Smith River. There is also good access for angling since the Smith River Road follows the mainstem most of the time.

Santiam River ( North Fork) : The river is currently running at 1,670cfs at the gage in Mehama
Santiam River ( North Fork) Above Detroit Lake: Currently, flows are around 315cfs
Santiam River (South Fork): Flows are currently at around 1,520cfs at the gage in Waterloo

Rogue River- Upper: The release from Lost Creek Reservoir is around 1,450cfs and 54F
