Halibut Update through week 31 (August 4)

Columbia River Subarea
There was 4,725 pounds landed in the spring fishery. The remaining pounds from the spring fishery have been rolled into the summer fishery. The summer fishery opened on August 2 and is open every Friday through Sunday. Average weight for the spring fishery was 15 pounds.

Central Oregon Coast Subarea
Summer All-Depth Season--harvest during the August 2-3 opening was 27,069 pounds, exceeding the quota by approximately 2,500 pounds. Therefore, the summer all-depth fishery has closed. The average weight for the summer all-depth season was 18 pounds.
