Water Condition: The Elk is very low right now. Until the water comes up the Elk is not worth the trip
Fishing Condition, Techniques and Hatches: When the river comes up the Salmon will be rushing in. Until then the fishing won't be great.

McKenzie RiverFishing Condition, Techniques and Hatches: The Salmon in the river are spawning and the Steelhead are eating eggs and becoming more active with the cooler water temps. There are plenty of Grey Drakes and a few Orange Caddis showing up high. The lower river is picking up for trout from the dam to the confluence.
