The ocean settled down enough for Brookings Fishing Charters to resume winter-time lingcod and rockfish trips. Capt. Andy took the Miss Brooke with a full load Saturday and got into an excellent grade of rockfish and fast lingcod bite. Most of the lings were caught on rockfish gear. The fish are just beginning to spawn, meaning we have several weeks of good fishing ahead in shallow water.
