Spring Chinook have arrived and catch rates have been modest. Expect the season continue through the next few weeks.

Spring Chinook season is open the Dug Bar boat launch upstream to the deadline below Hells Canyon Dam. The bag limit will be 4 adipose fin-clipped spring Chinook per day of which no more than 1 may be an adult (> 24 inches). Anglers must cease fishing for salmon for the day when they retain 4 jack Chinook salmon or 1 adult salmon, whichever comes first Remember, barbless hooks and a Columbia Basin Endorsement are required when fishing for salmon.
