Fall Chinook fishing should improve this week as the river is dropping into shape.  Conditions will be good for fall Chinook fishing as fish move upstream to the spawning grounds.

Wild coho retention closed on Sept. 30 on the Alsea.

Trout fishing in streams closed on Oct. 31 and will reopen on May 22.
