Snow is likely blocking access. Hatchery rainbow trout are still available. The lake was stocked in late September with 12- to 14-inch rainbow trout. There is plenty of bank access to effectively fish from the bank. There is a nice boat ramp.

Brown trout are cruising the shallows looking for spawning habitat. They also return to the boat ramp area where they were released. The mouth of Evening Creek is a great place for spawning browns as is the outlet at Miller Creek.

Call the USFS in Chemult for more information, 541-365-7001.The road into the lake is horrible and can damage boat trailers and boats.
