Boating Hazard: There is a boating hazard on the Necanicum River between Klootchie Creek and Hwy 101 ramps. A large tree has fallen across the river and is blocking boat access at 45.95611, -123.92663.

The Necanicum gets an early run of hatchery winter steelhead which should be available throughout the fishery. The hatchery steelhead in the Necanicum are the same stock used in the North Fork Nehalem which has been doing well, so there should be plenty of fish around. The Necanicum is in good shape as of this writing and should fish throughout the week.
