Miller Lake is accessible and was stocked heavily with rainbow trout this summer. Fishing will be slow as most rainbow trout have been caught. There is great bank access and rainbow trout can be caught from the bank. ‌

Brown trout can be caught near the boat launch as they eat the planted brown trout and rainbow trout. Brown trout also can be captured trolling with downriggers with lures that mimic kokanee. Most kokanee are less than eight inches maximum size. Many brown trout move to the mouth of Evening Creek this time of year.‌

Callibaetis are hatching and fish can be seen rising in many areas of the lake. There is a great flat near the outlet of the lake where smaller brown trout can be caught on dry flies.‌

The outlet creek, Miller Creek is also worth the effort for small rainbows and brook trout. Brook trout are quite abundant and flows are good. Bait is allowed.‌

Call the USFS in Chiloquin for more information, 541-783-4001. The road into Miller Lake is not as bad as usual but still has significant washboard. The road has been known to destroy boat trailers.
