NESTUCCA RIVER & LITTLE NESTUCCA RIVER: Winter steelhead
Steelhead fishing on the Nestucca River was good last week for both hatchery and wild fish (catch and release only for wild steelhead). This week it will be a little on the low side but still very fishable. The Nestucca is the authors pick for steelhead fishing this week, especially if you're looking for hatchery fish. The upper river, upstream of Moon Creek at Blaine, closes to angling April 1st.
The Little Nestucca does not have a hatchery steelhead release but does provide some catch and release opportunity for wild steelhead.
