Spring Chinook fishing has picked up a little on the Nestucca and Little Nestucca. The bay should still be getting some fresh fish, but the weekend's rains should have moved some fish upriver as well. There should be good angling opportunities for springers from first bridge (near the community of Beaver) down to the bay. The Little Nestucca should have some springers in the river as well and those fish are probably showing up in the river up to Stella Falls.

The Nestucca also gets a hatchery summer steelhead run, and those fish are coming in. There have been reports of some decent catching and fish should be spreading out upriver as well.
