Last stocked the week of July 13 with 1,000 hatchery rainbow trout.
After nine years of closure, Carmen-Smith recreation sites on the Upper McKenzie River have reopened to the public as of May 1, allowing hikers and day visitors access to newly renovated facilities. Anyone with questions about visiting these recreation sites should inquire online at https://www.fs.usda.gov/r06/willamette/recreation or by contacting the McKenzie River Ranger Station at (541) 822-3381. Crooked River: Anglers report excellent fishing for trout and whitefish
Deschutes River- Upper: Anglers report excellent fishing the headwaters reach
East Lake: Anglers continue to report excellent brown and rainbow trout fishing
Metolius River: The Metolius River continues to be excellent for mountain whitefish, redband trout, and bull trout
North Twin Lake: Anglers report good fishing for recently stocked trout
Wickiup Reservoir: Wickiup Reservoir is currently 31 percent and draining quickly
