The water looks nice and clear. Try going earlier in the morning or deeper for trout. Bait may be a better choice. some notably large largemouth bass have been spotted lately. The reservoir was last stocked with trout in mid-May with legal rainbows. Bass angling has been good.
The West ramp area will be closed July 5- September 4 to the public for construction.
Common carp have been illegally introduced into the reservoir. If one should catch a carp, please take a photo, get the size, and location fish were caught and send to evan.leonetti@odfw.oregon.gov or call the Roseburg office at (541) 440-3353. Do not release the fish back into the water.
