River level @Vida 2.29ft.  4,130 cfs. water temp 53.2 degrees.  Fishing has been  Fair-Good in the lower river below Leaburg Dam down to Hayden Bridge.     McKenzie Caddis, Brown Caddis, Pale Morning Duns and some Golden Stones along with a few Green Drakes.  Nymph fishing has being pretty good using a  Golden Stone nymph with a BH Flashback Pheasant Tail nymph as the dropper fly.  Dry fly action has been sporadic on sunny days and good on cloudy days.  A few steelhead have been caught below Deerhorn Bridge.

Suggested Trout patterns for the month of June:   Surface Hatches:    Golden Stones, Green Drakes,  Little Yellow Stones, Little Olive Stones,  McKenzie Caddis and Pale Morning Duns.

Best surface patterns: McKenzie Caddis adult #12-14,   Norm Wood Special #6-8, Sofa Pillows #4, Clark Stones #6, Large Yellow Comparadun  #12, Brown Elk Hair Caddis #12-14,  Peacock Caddis #12-16, Green Drake Dun #8-10,  Olive Stimulators #14, Yellow Stimulators #14.

Best nymph patterns:  BH Fox Squirrel nymphs 12-14, GB Flashback Pheasant Tail Nymphs #14-18,  March Brown soft hackle #12-14, Green bodied soft hackle #12-14,  GB FB Hare's Ear Nymph #10-14, Prince Nymphs #12-18, Zug Bug #12-16, Cased Caddis#14-16,  Golden Stones #6-10

The big bugs are out all the way up to Warm Springs.  Trout are eating them quite well in the late afternoon.  Some anglers are hitting the surface action on stones just right and some anglers are missing the good action (just depends on what section of river your on).  Fish are pretty "porked" out right now off of the stonefly nymphs.  Nymphing during the day has been tough.  The next 10 days should be prime time from Warm Springs......
